it's not bad, it just sticks out a little more than i like when you see it from a side profile. i'll probably go with single hoop as well, but i haven't made up my mind

there's a custom cbi wes showed me that i am feeling, shrockworks has a nice one, and i like the relentless one too

those pictures are just amazing there lee. gotta say, probably the best $100 (besides my gopro) that ive spent on non related taco stuff. The cannon camera is amazing compared to my last one. Would love to have a camera like Fears, but I dont have nearly the $800 needed for one of those cameras lol, id rather spend that money on the brute force hybrid bumper I want

    runners lookin good so far

You and Colson have a really good eye for composition. Tony better watch out if either of you decide to get into photography because he'll have some competition.

I know what you mean though. I used to have some really nice camera equipment...but then things went digital and made my nice 35mm stuff obsolete for my needs. I bought my digital camera back when either they didn't have DSLRs or they were so insanely expensive I couldn't justify it. So now I'm stuck with a hopelessly slow digital relic and no budget to upgrade it. It can still take nice, if smallish pictures, but it sucks for action shots because it takes so long to focus and so long to get ready for another picture. Plus, it's just plain basic.

Sorry, buddy, I couldn't pick them all. I just went with the ones that really stood out for whatever reason (like they had my truck in them, hehe). Make your own favorite pictures post and include the ones you think I missed. ;)

Hey, Tony, are you into vintage 35mm stuff? I have a Canon AE1 Program that's probably older than you are (I know it's older than Mike and Alfuh, lol). :D I also have a less vintage, but still old Nikon N50. It was a cheaper model, but it took outstanding pictures. I'd love to be able to trade them both on a basic Nikon DSLR, but that's probably wishful thinking.

Well I intend to make money with it so I saw it as an investment rather than a regular purchase
I actually have an older Pentax K1000 that I need to get fixed, it's having issues with advancing the film.

If you do want to sell you 35mm stuff, check out North Tampa photography on Busch. I know the AE1 is a pretty collectible camera. They do consignment sales there.

Thanks! I meant to ask if you knew anywhere that might be interested. I forgot but you answered anyway, lol.

Can they tell me how much it's worth fairly? Or do you think they'd lowball me?

    Go to,

    http://www.keh.com

They deal in used photography equipment, so you should be able to find a fair retail price. But with consignments, you set the price and the store will take a percent of the sale for commission.

I think an AE1 might fetch $200+ if it's in good quality. I know it's a desireable camera to collectors and film students

Again, thanks, Tony. I think the camera is in pretty good shape, but it could probably use a good professional cleaning. It's been to a few mud holes in it's day. Never dropped in the mud or anything, but riding around in a dirty, dusty truck is not the cleanest environment for a camera. At least I kept skylight filters on the lenses.

    Good deal

If it's a little dusty, get a can of compressed air (the kind used to clean electronics) and give it a once over

That works both ways. ;) You have a shorter wheelbase (IIRC) so you won't high center as easily. Illustrated by the jeep that climbed over that dirt hill on Friday that David later got stuck on on Saturday. Although to be honest, I might be just as wide or wider than you at the moment. The kickouts on my sliders stick out pretty far. My tires stick out 2 or 3 inches and the kickouts stick out almost a whole tube width beyond that.

Now with Guy's 1st Gen 'Runner, it's a whole different story. He's definitely no wider than I am. He's pretty much got me beat in every way but tires.

i hope to have sliders & tires soon so that'll increase my width, but i do like the idea that my wheel-base is shorter. hopefully next time i'll have the equipment & confidence to try more stuff and see if it works to my advantage.

as for guy's first gen, that thing is glorious!
