I'm right handed and want to mount a RTI wheel on the right side of the tower in the center.
    http://www.tacticalholsters.com/product/Accessories/GCA25.html

Will be using 3m tape and for the most part that will hold it but when it gets real hot with a holster and gun it can be heavy pending the gun, so 2-3 screws go in to hold for good luck.

This will be about arms reach on the right side if you were in the front pass seat about were your knee hits. Just forward of the seat.

Have used this on other trucks and it works great, just don't know what is behind the panel and if I would hit something using a short screw.

    Any thoughts.

I'm assuming you are talking about the area under the e-brake? If so, it's wide open. There is some light insulation glued to the side but that's it. There are some wire harnesses just below the carpet so be aware of that. Also I have a M/T so if you have an A/T there could be some differences.

It's pretty easy to stick your hand up there if you pull the cup holders out. It just pulls straight up, no screws.

Mine is an Auto so the E brake is on the floor.
Im looking the area to the right of the cup holders, for trucks with auto's and the 12v plug. maybe a little forward.
I did not see an easy way to get to it.

12v always on power point mod, tailgate anti-theft, Addl bed tiedowns, flyzeye dash lights, map lites with dome lite mod, bed stiffeners, air bags, brake controller, always on fog lights,
Pull straight up on the cup holder and it will come right out. To take out the area around the console shifter, unscrew the shift knob, and pull straight up on that part of the console. You should have access to everything you need to see now. Good luck!
