So, I think we need to determine what we want to do. We used to meet in the morning and ride in the afternoon. I actually got to the point that we should either decide to meet and mod or ride.

If we decide to ride, I think Stoney is a great spot as long as it is dry. We should just meet there and spend the day/night.

If we decide that we want to work on some trucks or just hang out, than I will host something at my house again unless someone else wants to host instead. I have plenty of small items that need to be "finished" or touched up on my truck that I could spend a day messing around with and socializing.

For those wanting to do both, the best solution may be to spend Saturday at the house meeting and then at some point convoy down to Stoney for the night. Followed the next day with riding.

That is actually a good idea. This will allow those who want to do some mods, an opportunity to do that, then go down to Stoney and ride, while others who only want to ride can meet up Saturday evening, or Sunday morning at Stoney. Also the option to do one or the other in cases where one couldn't make both events the same weekend.

Brian, if this seems to be a good consensus, I will be willing to handle the logistics with Stoney, if you want to handle the logistics for your place.

We try to do this on February or March so we will be out of hunting season, and have a better chance of some slightly warmer weather. I remember the first meet I went to in February at Brian's. It was freaking COLD!! We even saw some flurries! Of course that was back when Dave had a 2WD truck and got stuck in 2 inches of mud! hahaha.

    Speaking of a February ride...

Dixieland Cruisers has got a ride planned for Stoney Lonesome with camping (or you can stay in a cabin) 2/21-2/23. Open to all who want to come.

I recently got elected president of the club, and we've got a growing group of good folks. It'd be great to have some or all of you guys down (or up, I guess for Bill and the folks in B'ham) for the ride.

No fees or anything for it, other than paying the park entry fee and applicable accommodation fee.

sounds like fun. I might be able to swing that one also, if we don't decide to join.
