    Out of curiosity, is a wrap any cheaper than getting it painted? My paint job cost me a grand, about $200 for the paint (hazmat surcharge for the delivery was brutal, the paint itself was fairly reasonable) and $800 for the guy to prep and paint it (that includes smoothing out all the spots where the old paint/clear coat was coming off and fixing a few small dents in the tops of the bedrails).

    If I ever have to repaint it, I think I'm going to rattle can it with this stuff...

    I've heard it gets super hard when it cures and holds up to trail abuse extremely well. Plus it'd be easy to touch up if I did scuff it up. Might see if they sell it by the gallon for use in an HVLP gun.

    edit: I was telling someone about this stuff last weekend. I forget who, but this is the stuff I was talking about.

    Lol that was me you talked to it about. If you could get it in a gallon and shoot it out a spray gun. It would probably turn out good if you got it evenly coated.

    Still, I've seen people get amazing results with a rattle can as well. Every bit as good or better than my professionally shot stuff.

    This was rattle canned with Rustoleum Camo...

    I think the guy said in his write up that he sanded it down smooth, shot it with a couple coats, smoothed it out with 320 girt, shot a couple more coats, and sanded off the over-spray with 320 again. Amazing result from a rattle can.

    Seen a few jeeps done the same way that came out incredible.

    I was going purely from memory, there were only 3 super wimps out there. and they seemed all over the place cause nam never got his dirty so it stood out like a sore thumb.

    Haha, ain't that the truth. The other DCLB one (with your old bumper guard? Or one just like it--TacoMX?) stayed pretty clean too. Mike's was just Super Dirty instead of Super White when he showed up and didn't get any cleaner after that, lol.

    Believe it or not, I am worse with vinyl than I am with spray paint. Not doing that myself. I tried when a company spotted my truck in instagram and sent me free vinyl for my hood, fucked that all up.
    Look around, much like when it was colins truck, it is in ALL of the FL sections.

    That was PMK, and he was trying plenty but was lacking ground clearance so he was limited.

    Ah, okay. Kinda ironic that, given I got covered in dirt just coming in on the main grade. :D If I had tried, I probably could have gotten the non-award for taking the most Citrus dirt home with me, lol.

    Yeah, I haven't washed mine either. Been too cold and when it finally got warm enough today, it was raining all day. I would normally have washed it in the rain...not like I have to worry about water spots, but it was still a little too cool to be out there soaking wet. But then I guess you know all about that, huh? [​IMG]

    Why not just plastic dip the roof and hood. I plan on plastic
    Dipping the roof in the near future. From all my experiences
    With plastic dip it works out great
