i used a diamond cut looking mesh on my lower grille. can barely see it from afar and was easy to manipulate but not soft. If that makes any sense.

What's the best metal to use? I have some aluminum samples and they seem weak

So I'm in the process of bringing my 4runner back to stock and torn on what tire size to go with. 265/70/16 would be the most MPG efficient, but 265/75 would have a little more aggressive look and not hit the MPG's all that much. Would 265/70's look goofy with a ~1" lift (going with 1/2 spacers up front and 1" spacer in the back to retain some height and deal with the sag)?

If anyone happens to see a stock catback exhaust for sale, be sure to shoot it my way.

i have 265/70s on 3"+ lift. I know you're 3rd gen but i dont think it would be enough of a difference to get the 75s over 70s.

The Toytec Ultimate rides better with the bilsteins. OME shocks are stiff.

Yeah that's kinda what I was leaning towards.

Ok so another question for you guys. So I finally got around to playing with this thing. I was concerned about the 4wd because it hadn't been engaged for so long. I tested it tonight and lo and behold it works. However I noticed it was a little finicky to operate. When I got it in 4lo, I had a hard time getting it back into neutral to go back over to 4hi. And when it finally did pop down to neutral, I couldn't get it int 4hi without the auto stick being in neutral also... At which point I heard the grinding of gears as I tried to switch back over to 4hi. That finally worked but the grinding of gears is what got me.

I know nothing about 4wd. How am I supposed to switch between 2hi,4hi and 4lo? What speeds, what gears, everything a noob would need to know about this cause I'm trying to determine if its worthy for a short trip out wheeling in a couple weeks.

To switch into 4Low, you must be stopped. To switch from 2HI to 4Hi or 4Hi to 2Hi you must be driving below 45mph or something like that. Your 4WD actuator has most likely not been used in a long time and will get quicker at engaging and disengaging over time of use.

I like my 600's because I like smooth, soft suspension. Some people prefer a stiffer front end and go with the 650's. Pretty much personal preference.

What about the rears? I see an option for a 3.75" coil option. Would that stinkbug it with only 3" in the rear or is it to account for plate bumpers?
