Does anyone have any experience buying motorcycles or scooters? I'm trying to get my sister a 50cc honda ruckus scooter and I'm not sure how to approach the sales people.

Lowball and throw cash at them. Be cocky and unsure. Play it down like you would be doing them a favor by buying it.

Your best bet is to find a garage fabber and see if they will work with you on it. Mild steels are fairly cheap but since it's your first time you may want to buy a little extra. What I do when I need material is I get quotes from various steel companies and go with the lowest price with delivery or buy some used from friends.

You shouldn't build your front bumper out of Chromolly or DOM because something needs to give a little upon impact. If the bumper doesn't give chances are something expensive like your frame will and then you will have a nice time getting the frame straightened and have a hard time getting alignments and such from there on out.

It's my off season (really off since Obama), and would love to go four wheeling... But, making money must come first. If anyone knows of anybody who could use a new (or repaired old) irrigation or outdoor lighting system, that is what I do (since 1980). Please send me a PM... several here know me in person, and one has hired me in the past from TW.

It has been really dry, and the sprinklers or drip system still needs to work, just not as much as in summer. Free estimates in North County (Poway-Del Mar in the south to Valley Center-Fallbrook-Oceanside in the north. I specialize in latest technology, water saving systems.

I also am a co-author of the new, and only book to include the history of the founding of ALL the California Spanish Missions (48 from 1697-1834), so order a copy and expand your awareness of Old California history!

Thank you for your time, and keep on four wheeling!

Make your bumper from Aluminum plate, I did it for the Jeep and it came out really nice!

It shaped like a V toward the front, should work as a really good can opener, err I mean car opener..
