That's a fun event to go to at least once in your life. We did it once and we had fun but omg you are beat by the end of the day.

And we almost got attacked by a whistle pig. :anonymous:

Bleh. Car insurance is a pain to deal with. Way too many options. haha I did like 8-10 online quotes yesterday and did one more today. What do you guys think of Liberty Mutual? Geico is way cheaper, but to the point that it is suspicious and Progressive was about the same as Lib Mut, but my parents ditched them because they had too many problems dealing with them. All the other companies were a bit higher. Surprisingly USAA was the highest of them all. I made sure to match all of policy numbers in case by the way.

    Geico: $800/yr
    Progressive: $1200/yr
    Liberty Mutual: $1200/yr
    All the others: ~$1600/yr
    USAA: $1900/yr

Do you have any marks on your record and how many vehicles? Both my wife and I have clean records (she's never even been pulled over in her 10 years with a license now!) and I have my Tacoma and her Mazda on full coverage and my Hyundai on liability.

Not a single thing on my record, only the Tacoma, and it's not even full coverage just because I don't have the health insurance part added in since I don't need it. what's odd is it went up about $30 a month right before I turned 20.

Raise your deductable to $1000. It makes insurance way cheaper. I get three vehicles and an RV covered through USAA for $960 a year, and that includes roadside assistance. I also keep cash on hand to cover it if something happens. Usaa has really fantastic customer service...my roofing blew off in a windstorm and we had water damage to the house. I got a quote to fix it and they cut a check that day, no questions asked. Very good to do business with. Sure, I could get it cheaper elsewhere, but what good is insurance if you can't use it when you need it? Usaa will also price match, call them with your quotes and see if they will match it. I bet they will.

It already is at $1000... Liberty Mutual tried to convince me to drop it to $500. He said it would only raise the annual premium by $15 for the year.

Think they'll price match Geico? Most agents I have talked to shit themselves when I tell them what Geico offers me:rofl:

Call and see. Usaa also lowers your premiums once a year if you don't make claims... I can't recommend them enough, they have helped out a lot of my joes over the years.

So I bought one of those Hi-lift tire lifts and just got it in the mail today. I was skimming over the instructions with it and it says do not lift the tire more than 2" off the ground. When the hell would you ever need to left a tire not more than 2" off the ground? I mean sure you only need it that high to change the tire, but you aren't going to change when it is your lift point. haha And shoving a 2" rock under my tire probably isn't going to get me very far most of the time. haha

It's so you can throw kitty litter under it.

    :D

I actually got my dad one for Christmas. I'm sure they say that for liability reasons.

Kitty litter isn't going to help me when I am already on kitty litter. haha

This is one of those cases where I wished I had one. Didn't have enough hi-lift to get the back tires more than 3-4" off the ground so I couldn't fit a big enough rock under there. What rocks we could fit just got shot out...

And I'm sure they say it for liability reasons. haha
