I drive all backroads to work. None were salted. All the highways were treated. Saw so many accidents happen today because of idiot drivers. Hitting brakes going down hill, hitting brakes on off camber roads, tailgating, etc. I just took my time and had zero issues besides others getting in my way due to stupidity.

It's all cleared up now. Only hit one patch on my way home. Now I get to test the northern roads out on my way to providence.

The BMI index says I should be 156 - 210 lbs at 6'5". There is no way in hell I could ever be 156 lbs. I'd be a fricken twig. 210 would be very skinny for me too.

Traffic to pick up my son from school today sucked. One stretch of the beltway always has a disabled vehicle on it. Today that area had an accident that happened after I checked road conditions. Traffic happens fast in DC.

I check this site before I take or pick up my son from school.

Difficult to answer short. But I guess the short answer is yes. Of course the reality shows are keying in on that side of things in particular. McCain is to blame. Pulling Sarah into the presidential race was stupid IMHO. She wasn't ready for that level of politics. Saddest part is she was doing good things for the state before that happened. Ever since then, she hasn't been worth much (my opinion) and a lot of attention has been brought to the state; in my opinion more negative than good. But everyone is just cashing in, so to speak. Greed always seems to have a more negative effect than it does any good. All of this is just my opinion.

Speaking of AK reality TV, if you've seen the show AK State Troopers, I met Howie Peterson this Summer camping at Deep Creek on Kenai Peninsula. First, he's a really nice guy with a great family and what I consider a true Alaskan. We were camped beside them for 4 or 5 days while we made daily runs out into Cook Inlet to catch our 2 Halibut a piece a day. On the second day while we were talking over a beer at the campground I asked him about the show; he told me he never really wanted to do it, and he had to hire a lawyer to get out of doing it and keep his trooper job. Felt that was kind of sad and probably shapes some of my opinion of the whole media focus on AK reality TV.

My max BMI for 6'2" is 212 but I haven't been over 190 in 4 years. Not sure where the skew is from shorter people to higher, they are almost always well over.

I think the state big wigs push for the shows since its like free advertising for the tourism industry and is boosting your economy more than hurting it. Its given the state more exposure to an audience that would have never have given it a second thought.

I'm 260, far from the 210 they say I should be. i'm considered borderline obese. For the few on here that have seen me, i wouldn't consider myself anywhere near obese. I think the BMI is a bunch of crap.
