haha ya lol, I actually had a thought about PMing a mod to change the title of my build thread to "The Velcro Build" or something lol

tomorrow is gonna be fun, gonna finish up the bondo on my grille so those holes arent here anymore, take my rear and front bumper off and properly paint them this time with more than 1 coat and I need to touch up my flares as well.

I actually had 2 thoughts...I was thinkin about dropping down to a 4mm billet insert (right now my grille is an 8mm) so the horizontal bars would be thinner or just completely swap to mesh and slap on "Toyota" in the mesh. and 2nd, instead of just painting my lower valence black...i was actually thinking about painting the entire front bumper black, what do you guys think, I like the way my grille looks now, but I like the idea of having the "Toyota" or "Tacoma" hooked on the mesh.

Just spent 5 hours washing mine. The damage tally so far: No paint left on the bottom of my sliders. My rear tires did some self-clearancing on the wheel wells that I'm going to have to...um...persuade...back into position with a 4 lb persuader. Gonna have to trim a little more off my front wheel well liners. My bumpers have a collection of chips in the paint. And the only actual damage is that the dust cover on my right rear Nitrocharger seems to have broken off the top of the shock. I can't tell how it was connected in the first place until I get under it to look, but right now its just hanging over the shock body. I have no idea how the heck that happened. Seems kinda cheezy, especially for off-road shocks.

Other than that, it looks good. The paint didn't even look that stained, but I'm going to have to let it dry completely and look at it in better light before I decide I need to soft-scrub it again. Tomorrow I get to clean the inside.

 

The only damage I found other then the paint on the bumper is my passanger side step the it cracked and and got pulled down. Its fiberglass so it will be easy to fix but I learned my lesson. Next time theyes will come off

Really wish I could wash my truck but I jacked up my back and jaw at work today and it hurts like hell to try and walk

 

I hear ya. I think I tweaked my back taking the extra tire out of the Odd Green Taco before I washed it. I was taking the strap out a little while later and it locked up and lit up like a chirstmas tree in pain for a few minutes. I worked through it though, lol. I probably won't be able to get out of bed tomorrow, but at least I got the truck washed.

 

Well long story short I had a rod break loose wich caused a 36 inch pipe wrench to whip around and smack me in the jaw I then fell about 6 foot and landed on top of a power unit battery and then rolled into about 2 feet of water and some how managed to chip my front tooth the docs are calling it a sprained lumbar region and a contusion to the face

 

ouch dude, that sounds like it really fucking hurt , hope things get better bro

Seriously though, hope you got some good narcotics out of it at least. Having a jacked up back sucks. I imagine your jaw doesn't feel to great either. Hope it doesn't last too long.

 

Oh, and not to make light of your misfortune, but from how you described it, it would probably have been hysterical to see, though definitely not to experience.

My back doesn't hurt unless I move and my jaw is pretty sore and it's kinda hard to eat but I'm lucky I didn't break any bones and that I'm even still alive as for meds they gave me tramadol , etodolac , cyclobenzaprine(muscle relaxer)

 

Not at all I'm sure it would of been and all I remember was pain in my face and back and trying to get up out of the water

 

Yeah, it wouldn't have been funny if you were killed or seriously injured. I'm glad you got off as lightly as you did. BTW, none of that sounds like narcotics. I'm not an expert on it though. If not, then you got screwed over twice. I hate it when you're in serious pain and they bust out with some weak ass shit that you can practically buy over the counter at the drug store.

Bastages. That crap really pisses me off. I'm in pain, gimme opiates, dammit! And take that ibuprofen and shove it! So some assholes abuse prescription drugs, does that mean the rest of us have to suffer? Apparently it does.

Worst part is, the assholes abusing them don't seem to be having much trouble getting them while the rest of us seem to have to be critically injured before we can get any of the good shit.
