+1 for OCtaco lines, I think I have 3-4" extended.

install is pretty straight forward with bleeding. whatever you do, keep track of your fluid level in the reservoir during the process, add or remove(dipping a rag) as needed.

Don't let it drain too far and pull air into the lines

Don't apply power until you are done bleeding.

I'd recommend into getting some set screws that match the b-nut so you can plug the whole while you change the lines out, it will still probably leak through, but at a much slower pace.

I had more trouble doing the rears where the flex lines connect to the hard lines under the bed, looked like the flex line hose was flared too far and was catching the threads on the b-nut.

those little C spring clips suck, just take your time :p

don't try to skimp out, double wrench & using a flare-nut wrench helps a ton.

doing the lines was probably the messiest part when I installed my lift...but it washes off with enough water :D

When bleeding mine, I used the abs system to purge the air out. Had a helper turn the key to on and depress the brakes while I bled the brakes. Did all 4 ends twice for good measure. Works fine. Search the forums, there's a thread on it for the later model second gens.

I change front breaks but am very weary of doing the lines cause I live up in makakilo and would hate for me to screw up my brakes..Have no expedience with rear drums. Was thinking of bringing it down to Scotts to do and maybe do an alignment at the same time.

Yep.. up is nice but bad on the truck... riding down in 3rd and still sometimes needing the brakes.. If not, brakes would be gone sooner than later. Almost always I just change my rotors when I change brakes. Rotors get a bunch of abuse going down hill.

Kaleo - You gonna do the lines yourself? Also, let me know if you gonna get rid of (sell) your springs.. I toss around the idea of going 4" every once and awhile... need the stock springs if I do..

Just called Costco. Quoted me $300 (plus tax and $13/tire for install) for the BF Goodrich MT. $1200 vs. $1400 (avg) for the Duratracs.

Also Amazon (free shipping on prime) has the 60" hi-lift x-treme for just over $100...

Will be interesting to see how much the March Madness sale goes for..

I had a hard time trying to convince my wife that my truck absolutely needed the UCA's and coilovers. She finally gave in after like 4-5 months of ass kissing and begging lol ;)

    I wish I had bought 285's instead of 265/75's.

OK, Finally bit the bullet and my lift is ordered.

    Nothing too crazy.

    5100's are already here.

I just ordered the Wheelers Progressive 3pack AAL and the 1/4" Aluminum Spacers for the front to go on top of the 5100's.

Total should be 2.25" in front an 2" in the rear.

Manini kine but I get short wife and young kids haha.

now who do i have to bribe with beers to help me out hehe

Was that during the sale?? If so, costco has a pretty comparable price, and may be a bit cheaper if I wait for the bf Goodrich coupon to come out.

Plus the costco pull up and refill when you need and rotate while you shop may push me towards the big red sign..
