got it all apart fine, the new OME stuff is sitting in my garage awaiting my local auto shop to open in the morning so they can take it to them to break down the factory struts and assemble the new stuff. Then its back to the garage to reassemble everything into the truck. Cant wait to see how it rides without the stock shocks and spacer lift on it. :)

Make sure they re use the stock washers off the front shocks. THere is 3 of them. they go on the OME shocks the same way.

What an amazing transformation. So much smoother with the new OME shocks and coils. And I picked up about 3/4" of lift on the front, even with the bumper and stuff. Really happy with how it turned out for not spending even more on a set of coilovers.

Question: Had a hell of a time getting the castle nut back on the ball joint, had to use a pair of pliars to hold it in place, while doing so, accidentally squeezed a bunch of grease out of the joint, anything I should do, or should it be fine?

Depends on how much grease....If it was less than a table spoon, you should be fine.

With basically limited mechanical ability I'm stuck having trouble getting the OME 885s in. ITs like right there and according to some previous posts I can just stand on the rotor? I tried forcing it down, the brake line bolt is lose so it has flex, but I coundn't get the damn bottom of the shock to seat in that cup that the bolt goes through...check out the pics am I doing anything wrong? Yeah I know I have to regrease the top ball joint, and put the boot back on.

Is the spring facing the right way? Thanks in advance

I left my uca on and used my stock bottle jack between the fender well and uca. I cranked it and it pushed the lca down

Everything looks to be in line. You try what JDkeller is saying, Or loosen the lower control arm bolts to free up some extra movement.

Chris, so your suggesting taking out these two bolts and once the shock is in I can use a bottle jack to get everything together right?

NO! The 2 bolts Im talking about ar the ones that attache the spindle to the lower control arm.

Ok gotcha, hopefully last question on this pic is the lower coil end facing the right way?
