    The prob. now is all the tech crap in the cars & trucks, Look at the shit with my brake light switch. I still had brake lights but no fan motor or turn sigs.:boom:. Replaced the switch and a new 10 a, fuse ... like a new truck...But it took a computer to tell that:mad:

    Ken:
    Tesla is doing well in the NE and west coast areas of the US. I think Tesla is in the car market for the long haul and not just a fad. If you can you should check one out. I believe there are only 3 buttons or switches in the dash area. All functions are controlled by the touchscreen.

    I used to be the same way until I started to hang around with younger guys that were into modern cars. The newer cars are not that all different from older cars you just need updated tools to work on them. Does it help to be computer literate, well yes it does. Did you learn to work on older cars in a day. I would guess no. Same learning curve to working on the newer cars.

    If you are into the GM, Ford, or Mopar cars then there are a lot of electronic tools, read aftermarket, available. For Toyota not so much. The newer tools like HP Tuners are not all that inexpensive either.

    For about $350 you can buy an OBD computer interface that can help you see what is going on. Nothing worries a used car salesman more than when you plug a computer into the OBDII port of a car you are about to test drive. In 15 minutes you will know more about the car than he does.

    I have had the same issue. I had to replace the gas cap itself. How many days did it take for the SES light to come on? If you do not dive the vehicle a lot it probably took a few days.

    I think 1" rain = 10" snow. Looks like the NE got lucky.

    The solenoid on the Bonneville is in the rear attached to the gas tank. Kind of hard to get to without a lift.

    We seem to have a weather pattern of 2 days with sun then 9 or 10 days of clouds and some form of water falling from the sky. It is raining like crazy here today. Fog still has not lifted all the way.

    Here we go again!
    Just got done contacting a state attorney generals office over a company refusing to return my money after returning an item. They say it was never returned, but I have the UPS tracking right to their doorstep! :confused:

    When the mail came today, there was ANOTHER letter from the IRS saying that they never got a "2011" income tax return. The last letter I got from them starts out with: WE RECEIVED YOUR "2011" FEDERAL TAX RETURN, and they were asking for the HCTC info! :confused:
    Maby there should be at least another MILLION people in the unemployment line that are incompetent! :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:
    :goingcrazy::goingcrazy::goingcrazy::goingcrazy::goingcrazy::goingcrazy::goingcrazy::goingcrazy::goingcrazy:
    Hope Doc. don't see too much in this!!!!
    I may have to pay him a visit soon! :D
    I'm glad I keep records. I learned that a long time ago and it has paid off more than once. Without keeping records I would have been up the creek without a paddle. They have proved to be a very valuable resource!
