It's like a dark metallic grey that dries flat. There are little metallic flakes in it. Tomorrow I will take a close up picture in the sun.

Gun metal grey mixed with black... If that makes sense

It's a great looking color. I was very impressed on how it turned out. Especially on the factory wheels.

I ordered mine from Dipyourcar. At the time they were the only people carrying the product. It might have migrated to other venders by now.

Started doing my wheels, only have one done so far. I take it off and use my full size spare while it is drying. Best picture I have right now...

Anyone have any experience with DipYourCar Metalizer wheel kits? I was considering trying to get my wheels a bronze much like Konig offers on some of their wheels. I was thinking of finishing the matte black dip then hitting it lightly with the copper metalizer. I'll probably test it out on some scrap first.

Are your wheels stock? I have the same wheels but bought them off craigslist. I was surprised they are hub centric and clear the calipers without any spacers. I thought I just got lucky, but now I've seen these same wheels on a couple other tacomas on TW. Maybe they are stock but not common?

Valance doesn't come off. You just have to tape the area. Question 1 & 2 answered..

Nope, I believe they are made by Vision (my center covers are branded as such). I'm looking to find one more for my spare so it'll match when I get my swing-out. I've tried researching them, but have come back with no results so far. I'm still looking for an exact model name.

On another note, I ordered the Plastidip to do my wheels bronze. I will update with the results.

decided to try out the red... wow. although it's more of a cherry red compared to my truck, still gives me an idea of what it would look like if I had it color matched. wanting to satoshi the grille now. :) Also dipped the rear bumper, seems kind of stupid now ... lmao I traded my base bumper for a chrome one and now I'm trying to go back to it. Might do the lower valance for shits and giggles. :p

got a can of derp yesterday. tried to derp my tailgate badges.... failed. i put on two coats, and when peeling away the excess around the badges, it peeled off from the letters too.... any tips?

edit: i will say, i think i got impatient while waiting for it to dry... how long should i wait between coats and after the last coat prior to peeling excess away?
