Sound deadening in Arizona heat

Just bought my taco a month ago, been doing little things to it but nothing big yet. Once I get my tax return I want to start fixing up the sound system. I want to start with sound deadening the doors, back of the cab and possibly at a later time the floor and roof. Then a stereo and speakers, not sure which of the 2 I want to do first.

I know sound deadening will cost +/- 200 bucks, but my buddy who is my coworker and has been working as a body tech longer than me say in the Arizona heat it wont hold and will just collapse to the bottom of the door. Now I havent looked into the heat issue too much but is this right where temps can reach 115 or more during summer?

I can't answer your question. But also from being from Arizona I'll contribute by saying if it's 115 that really means it's more like 150 inside the cab baking while you're at work in the middle of the day...

You could also try posting this in the Arizona section of the website. A lot of guys from the Valley on here with good systems

Which brand did you use to sound deadening it and how long have you had it?

 

I know that Audio Technix has been rated to hold up to 300 degrees ferinheight. As long as the surface is prepped right it will hold.

Also if you do end up putting it on the roof don't do more than 2-3 layers or it won't hold because of the weight.

 

A combination of dynamat extreme, and rattletrap for fatamt, then i put ensolite foam over it. Probably about 1-2 years now
