Mine was unplanned, she got hers with her 1st gen buyback in 2009 when I still had my black Chevy. I found my Tacoma used with 6k and didn't trust my Chevy anymore, although I do prefer black.

Yeah, a little quicker than expected but I did get a good deal on it. It's pretty nicely loaded also and I opted for the 100k mile extended warranty, just in case.

Jeez, tough crowd! Not Ford driving yet, I have the Tacoma until Monday night :)
Hell no! I actually had a great experience. The sales staff at this place was very nice, not pushy at all.
Haha, yeah, I know... Can you believe I didn't end up with a Chevy though? I would have stayed with Toyota but I'm really unimpressed with the Tundra and need something bigger than the Tacoma.
We'll talk soon, everything's coming off tomorrow.
That Ford will be beyond useless off road, it's too wide and the wheel base is too long to be an effective off roader. That being said, you can count on one hand how many times my Tacoma has been off road. This truck isn't going to be an off roader, just needs to handle the equivalent of logging roads on the occasional camping trip.
    Thanks, guys!
Very strong possibility. If I get to the point where a smaller truck will work or Toyota fixes up the Tundra, I'd consider another Toyota. Definitely no hard feelings against Toyota.

Tundras (and 4Runners) may be gone by the time you come back.

Well Toyota needs to design a new V8 for the Tundra for the 2017 emissions standards. I'm sure they will though. So I'm not too worried about the Tundra disappearing yet.

The 4Runner is a dying breed of body-on-frame SUVs, and might actually be the last midsize one left. The other brands have already switched to unibody for their SUVs, and Toyota already has the Highlander.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I think the Xterra is still body on frame but other than that (aside from Jeep), I think the only other ones are the full sized.

I can't see Toyota letting the Tundra die, I have to imagine they'll do something with it.

I believe a flying fuck just happened.
Still though, this is the best "No touchdown throws" game I've seen the Pats play....probably ever.
Certainly the most running touchdowns in the Tom Brady era.

    Mike just a FYI .
When doing your plugs on that ford be careful . They have a issue of breaking off in the head. One of the guys I work with just went through this and it cost a pretty penny to get it fixed.

So he should pull the plugs right as he gets home and put anti seize on them

    They make a spark plug-specific anti-seize, I believe.
But these guys are right, Mike. The 5.4's (and that V-10) are famous for eating their plugs. And the solution is usually to take it to Ford, have them pull the head, and extract it for you. Gets pricey in a hurry.
