Installed the new Pop-N-Lock with the "Bolt" type lock.
Tailgate now locks and unlocks with the ignition key...

Yeah they're fine. Checked that corner a week ago when I was fussing with the starter; both pads are still 1/4" thick or more. Pretty sure they're factory rotors. They certainly have enough rust in the vanes to be that. However they're not warped at all, aren't missing any thickness to speak of, and nothing binds up nor has any problems stopping the truck in an emergency as I found out a couple months ago.

I'll just change the rotors out when I do the brakes the next time. I'm at 136k now (service records show pads and shoes were done at the dealer 15k ago, before I bought it), but as easy as I am on brakes who knows when I'll finally have to tackle it.

edit: it might be the image resize making them look super-scored. Here's the original

Sweet! How do you like it? Did you have the PL5300 in it before?

    Yup.
Pop out the insert between the two holes and the camera mount attaches using them (10mm threaded inserts).

    Ya, had the 5300.
It was nice and secure, but felt cheap.
The PL itself was solid alloy, but the lock simply raised a block that prevented the stock handle (plastic) from being lifted. It always felt like it would break if you applied too much pressure.

This one, like the factory handle, is plastic, but the way the latch is designed, attempting to lift the latch when it is locked does not put any stress on any parts... plastic or metal. It's like the factory door handle... it just lifts but doesn't open, and no amount of pulling will break through the latch.

Key rotation is about 1/8th of a turn, similar to the door locks. Rotate the key one way to lock, then back to vertical, other way to unlock, then back to vertical.
The PL5300 was vertical to lock, horizontal to unlock.

I set them so that it is just less than level. It had been sagging since I added the plate bumper...

Pics tomorrow, it was too dark tonight.
