I want to get some shorty headers for my truck. I want to know which brand is better and what will give me more performance JBA or Doug Thorley. I know the long tubes will give me the best performance gains but I do not think I will pass emissions.

    Oh Yeah!!!

DTLT Headers are by far the best in performance and quality. I would like to say that there shorties are the same, but cant since I never owned them.

On another Note, PM me if you think you might want a used pair of JBA shorties already welded to the CAT's.

There are mixed reviews on the JBA's. I will never look back now that I have DTLT. But for someone on the fence, and may want to save some cash, my JBA's are available.

Roxspin, what about your low end torque and power. I have some DT long tubes sitting in my closet buy I am considering exchanging for the DT shorties. I know a guy locally, thay says he feels the lost power in regular driving and accelerating but feels the high end gain, when really punching it. I just want more torque and power than stock, with no losses.

IMHO, I would go Long tubes. The shorties are too much hassle as far as install goes. You will not notice the low end loss unless you have a superior AIS Dyno...

Plus, I hope everyone is aware that HP is not a limiting factor when it comes to off roading... That is a Gear & traction issue.

As far as daily driver, just don't be heavy on the far right pedal, unless you want to appreciate them upper RPM gains:D __________________
