If that's really important to you, you should probably just quit driving. GM and Chrysler made big news because of their bankruptcies, but many other corporations, including Ford and Toyota, borrowed billions from the Federal Reserve (who only lends to banks under normal circumstances) to stay afloat through the financial crisis. Toyota also received special loans through a Japanese government program. Business is business, and they have to do whatever is necessary to remain afloat through the tough times.

    I don't buy that.

Plus I appreciate Toyota's reliability and accountability like what they did with the reframe program. They're dependable and hold their value. They have my business for life

I went Toyota for 2 reasons.

    1..my wife's 96 that got bought back for 10k.

2..several years later, my 06 Colorado having the famous head failure. The 2 dealers lied to me start to finish, and GM agreed with me that they were dishonest but refused to address it or provide me any assistance with the matter.

I think it's more "normal" (how GM described my 5 yr old, 78K head failing and needing another $2000 of work on top) for a 13 yr old truck in MA to have a rust issue than to deal with what I had on my truck. Only reason it's normal of the GM vehicle is GM put a faulty head on them for 3 yrs and then instead of doing the right thing (recall) they wrote an extended warranty and hoped people wouldn't find out about it.

All yours. They're just the covers with the motor assembly though, the glass is gone (if your glass is in good shape, it'll just clip in easy enough). If I end up going, I'll bring them along and you can have them as long as I don't get run off for bring a Ford to the party :)

Side note, I will never buy another MOOG product! I was under my truck today and noticed the u-joint I just put in was already rusted to hell. Thing looks 10 years old, the rest of the drive looks new in comparison.

Alex, just the person I wanted to talk to! I have a potential money making venture for you (not much money, but you could pull in a quick $20 possibly). I have one of those lighted 4wd switches from rcbs and it's very, very, very dim. He mentioned that if the resistors start getting loose, that could cause it and resoldering it could fix it. I'm not set up to resolder those tiny resistors but I believe you are. If you want it, you can have it to fix and resell.

That would be sweet Mike! Thanks!

Yeah mine is completely out too... The resistor definitely is a problem. Just haven't had the time to pull my dash apart and fix it.

No problem, we'll have to figure out a time to meet up or I'll just mail it to you. I can't sell it the way it is and I can't fix it so I figured if you can fix it and make some money in the process, why not? I had forgotten about it but saw the wiring when I had my dash apart today.

Yeah mailing it would be easiest. I could actually use it for my current customer! Doing purple gauges for her!

What do you want as a cut for it?

Not worried about a cut. They're only $30 new (at least when I bought mine that's what they went for) and I completely forgot about it until now. If I hadn't seen the wire, it would have been traded with the truck anyways.

 I got mine free but he sells em for $40 I believe! I was trying to get a price break on them because I could drum up a lot of 4Runner business for him, but he wouldn't do that for me. It makes me have to charge $65 for the knob mod because there's a bit of dremel work to be done to get the taco board to fit. Kinda selfish on his part.

Edit: just checked his site and he might be discontinuing them because business died down! That would suck!

Wanted to see how many miles I get with the first 1/4 of the tank. With the 5% difference of the 33's, it's more like 94~95 miles.

I would stick with stock in my truck. My GF loves purple and she drives a Ford focus.

2012 I think the big problem would be mismatched colors because it also has the huge radio/nav/control panel in the center.
