I'm gonna run a multi-mount winch for my truck. Practical and keeps it out of the elements when you're not using it. Less dirt and UV ray exposure so it should extend the life of synthetic rope too.

    That's my reasoning too.

One of the guys I wheel with wants to do receivers on his sliders (that he doesn't have yet) as well so he can winch in all 4 directions:eek: and yes those are 40's.

That's also part of my plan for the winch. :D I wanted to put receivers on the sliders/frame near the back of the cab. Would make it easier for some recovery situations, especially if you flop the rig onto its side.

I like the idea it's out of the elements. But now days winches are so well sealed..not a biggie.

Happy Jack/Vedauwoo is frigging awesome for biking. I hadn't ridden a bike in like ten years, picked up one in Laramie and did a 35 mile ride up in Vedauwoo. Was a mistake because my legs cramped up like a mfer :anonymous:

    OMG MARC!!

    DUDE!

holy shit! I just found a road that looks FREAKING SICK...well..expedition wise..

The Loop Trail. Just west of the coridnates you showed me. Goes all the way to the Green River lake. Passes..a crap load of lakes.

then again..maybe its a single track trail and not a road..hmm..Oh ill be damned..its part of the Continental Divide trail..ha never mind :pout:

haha, dont spaz too hard buddy! I'll keep asking around here about trails!

    like this lake?
    43° 18.588', -109° 51.396'

one of my friends camped there this summer and saw some moose back in there! Not sure if it's a good offroad area but its like shoshone lake where youre surrounded by stuff. would be an awesome spot to stop and camp for a night taht's for sure! I've heard there is some sick stuff between dubois and pinedale besides union pass that might be explorable :D

oh for sure, that area of the winds is really cool. If you zoom out and look at land features you can totally see where glaciers used to flow :D I think you can hike to Gannet peak from there too!

doubt the ABS from the printer would stand up to the abuse.
