    To my knowledge, it's illegal for "road use" no matter where you installed them…if you buy some covers for them, you should be fine anywhere on the truck

    FWIW, I bought some mounting hardware from the OP a while back.

    Even from Canada to Texas, they arrived quickly and without issue. He even followed up to make sure everything went well.

    If/when I decide to add more lights, I'll buy from him again.

    I ended up mounting it in the lower bumper opening, not the Avid bar.
