    And this is where we differ and that was all I was trying to point out. Though this explosion of traffic is entertaining:D

    I do want to conquer Helldorado and pretty much any trail I come across (unless said trail is just suicide or something like this crap...)

    Mark as in, the Raisin Mark? I am not quite that bad, but at the moment I am prioritizing my funds into improving the capability of my rig before adding the luxuries.

    As for your perspective that is just it. It's all personal. Mark, Monte, and I are still young and adventurous and probably a bit wreckless and a bit of work to get the job done is just fine for us for what gains we get out of it.

    I am definitely trading some dependency by stepping everything up, but I am ok with what I am giving. I am also doing what preventative maintenance I can in the mean time. Not sure if you are following my build thread, but I have about $500 in gussets to weld onto the front end as well as another 300+ lbs worth of steel for the rear and frame.

    I do want to be able to drive mine down the interstate and that is exactly why I am not interested in SAS'ing at all. I can throw an LT kit on the front and not lose any of my DD ability at all really. If anything it might even be safer to drive on the interstate because the extra width makes it harder to roll.

    I think Mark basically covered why a Tacoma is perfectly fine to build into a rock crawler.
    I don't want a KOH style rig. I don't plan on hammering it through the rocks like they do. That is just asking to break shit that my IFS isn't built for. I'll have a crawlbox for the rocks to go slow.

    I would drop it off at a good fab shop and have them 4 link the rear with a 9" and center mount a Currie 9" IFS diff and build it to run 40's and boost the shit out of my motor. haha
