I will be adding a Blue Sea 12 circuit fuse block for bed lights, toolbox lights, lots of extra lights in my bumpers and hopefully a roof led light bar

I know there's mounting plates for these for our trucks, which I will be purchasing.

I am just curious as to what size circuit breaker people are running between the battery and block? And are most people just running the power to the block straight off the battery, or you can make some circuits powered with the ignition?

Any write ups on how anyone has ran theirs?
This will just make it much easier and cleaner to install all these goodies

I'm running 100A, 4AWG. It's overkill for what it is, but I figured it would give me the ability to handle everything on at once. Some sites tell you that 100A should be 2AWG, but for my short run, I'm not worried about it. I also don't intend to ever draw 100A worth of power from the panel, even if I sized the breaker/panel for that.

I am running directly to the panel for my auxiliary lighting, but it all depends what you use for your relay trigger for wiring. I could have just as easily tapped ignition hot for my trigger, but I elected to go right to the panel to turn on the lamps w/o keys in the ignition.

Very true about the trigger wire for the relay. What's the best place to tap into an ignition hot?

I'm not even real sure what I would want with an ignition trigger actually. I mean the good light would need to be anytime. Same with the toolbox lights and bed lights. The *** lights in front and rear bumpers could be ignition hot, but it'd be easier to use the battery. Those switches will be illuminated when on inside the cab anyway
