Waterfront would be a dream. I've been trying to get a mooring in a great little cove about 15 minutes from home for a couple years now. Having my own mooring will save me over $1000 a year which I can now spend on mods for the boat... or even the truck

 

good thing your staying away from the prince albert...........that would just be weird man.

They do tend to attract attention but I plan on leaving this world with the same number of holes in me I entered it with.

 

I must be confused... lol I thought the "harbor master" was his wife.... and the "mooring" was something she could latch onto for some fun....

 

The Harbormaster is a somewhat gruff no nonsense guy who's spent his whole life on and around the water. The mooring is a 500lb hunk of American cast iron that will let me sleep nights without worrying too much about Slow Dance during the inevitable New England storms, gales and /gulp ...hurricanes.

 

Speaking of hurricanes what you guys/gals on the east coast think of the up coming hurricane season (even though its a few months away). I think we are long over due for one to hit Jersey, apparently they had on hit Jersey before I moved here.

I think the last time we were really hit in RI was in 1983 so we're overdue. I like to think of it as being a positive aspect of "Global Climate Change". But I'm also waiting for the 50 ft rise in ocean levels so that I can moor the boat in front of our house....
