lol well design of the bestop is kinda dumb because the frame pushes on the "window part" of the panel... to me thatsa a design flaw now bring it up to canada -35 on a good day in the winter and she will crack with no effort... where i think my problem was. thus my do and dont lol.

 

So what is the cost of your deal there?
Also dropped a line,testing the waters he make need your truck for measurements What made you want to use the all poo frame for it though?

 

I got a Edie209 soft topper. I love it! Plus the frame is legit!

I've even taken the canvas off to haul stuff on the on the frame

 

I wish... I tried to contact him off site... I think he is not interested anymore...

 

I follow his IG... He is an incredible fabricator but his passion seems to lie with 2-wheels.

It's all free for me!
The all pro pack rack and everything is free for me.
The deal was, as long as I let em keep my truck for 2 weeks to design everything, I'll get it keep everything.
I do quite a lot if kayaking and camping so the all pro rack will help a lot with transporting the kayak and I may possibly do a rooftop tent set up this summer

Some people have been using all pro's pack rack and the company "Killer Toy Tops" makes a soft durable top for that rack as well.

 

Wow that actually looks good... Did you go woth the allpoo bolt or weld together rack?

 

A shame you're in Canadia I'd sell you an Eddie topper on the cheap. Damn thing has been sitting in my shed after being on my old Taco for less than a month lol.

Moot point since I no longer have the Taco but wish I would have just gotten a soft topper instead.

It was just a pain in the dick. Good concept, far from production ready IMO.I'm sure others had better success with theirs, but no matter what i tried or how I adjusted it I was never able to remedy the part that was behind the cab to flap and smack against the back of the cab at highway speeds. Took the thing off before I even decided to trade in the Taco. With all the highway driving I do it was just unbearable.

 

Couldnt clamp it down? Say angle iron and bed side clamps? Thats what i did with my bestop
