    Sorry it's early...RTFP.

They raft several rivers in the area, obviously the Nantahala since that runs right through the empire. It's a fun river, Cl II, cold as shit since it comes out of the bottom of the dam. They also run the Pigeon, French Broad, Chatooga, and Ocoee (probably the best run they do). I've never done the ziplines but given that they're a top notch operation I can only imagine it's impressive. If you're into Mtn Biking, Tsali recreation area is real close, and it has great camping available. NOC gets real crowded so we always camped off site. They have real good restaurants on site, as well as fast food operations.

Other rafting/zipline options would be ACE Adventure or Class VI outfitters in Summersville/Fayetteville, WV on the New and Gauley rivers. The New run all year, the Gauley is dam controlled and the usual release schedule is Sept/Oct, but they do low water trips down it in the summer. Tons of hiking, Mtn biking, camping out there as well.

Hope that helped, let me know if you need anymore info.

Ok VA guys, I need your guidance. Since I am most likely (hopefully definitely) going to be moving up to the Richmond area, I will hopefully be able to take my mall crawling grocery getter offroad with you sometime. I am currently running two different setups of wheels and tires, one for street and one for playing in mud puddles at the mall. Im looking to sell the mud puddle set so that I can go the skinny route. I have the tires narrowed down to 2 different ones. Price isnt really in the equation for choice as I can get a set of either within about $20 of each other. The two tires I am looking at is the BFG KM2 and the Maxxis Bighorn MT. Only reason I am drawn away from the KM2 is because of all the bad reviews about its wet pavement traction, since I spend most of my time in the malls this wouldn't be good for me (that and in the event of inclement weather or when heading to the in-laws in TN during the winter we would be taking my truck in case we ran into snow).

So what I need from you guys is, what would you choose and WHY? I have heard great reviews on both tires, even though the Maxxis is no where near as popular.

Should be looking to pull the trigger on the new tires either end of this week or next week, assuming the guy down here follows through with buying my current like new set today.

    Thanks.

I've had no issues with the KM2's unless I'm purposely horsing it around on the windy backroads in the rain.

Only problems I had with my KM2s was in the rain for the first maybe 200 miles or so. They were slick as shit and I was routinely sliding under heavy breaking.

Most likely will go with ST Maxx's the next go round though.

He was one of the first ones I spoke to about the Bighorns, big part of the reasoning on why they are on the short list of things.
