    The AF won't get rid of the c130 yet. It has to many capabilities that its used for. C130s do a lot of different missions in the AF and since they came out with a new model it'll be in the AF for another 30-40 years

    The thing is most wars are fought by air now and days. Thing is would you honestly trust a drone to fly on its own? It can be hacked can it maneuver like a human in a jet can? What would happen if you lost signal to that drone. Shit the navy pilots don't trust the drones being on the flight deck on the carriers

    When I needed ground fire to be laid down 200yrds. to my 6oclock, I Comm'd directly to the Fire Officer in the Bird circling the FZ.....You lose that instantaneous communication when working with the Drones....We will always have Manned Aircraft for for SpecOps...not to say that the Drone world is ineffective during such missions....certain operations call for certain manpower,skills, and equipment...

    Exactly but I always had an agreement about the people who worked on the drones: how much munitions can you hold? Oh wait that's right my plane can shoot missiles, drop bombs, and shoot 600+ rounds of 30mm in no time. Oh forgot to mention on plane is being modified to have a 105 howitzer cannon as well. Just like the old models that are going to be retired and what U models they have at hurlburt
