You have no idea! Ha I spend a whole day with a wire wheel on my to clean them up.... But the part that matters the internals on SAWs work just as good as any other brand.

Silas put 37's on a non-LT 1st gen... LT just makes it easier to fit them because it pushes the tire out away from the cab without giving it the larger turning path that spacers and low BS wheels do.

Ah, that is the difference. Makes sense. I wonder how Tundra CV's compare to 2nd gens strength wise.

I used to think the same thing, but I have the heaviest 37's around at 150 lbs per corner, and still on the stock rear end with an ECGS 3rd with 4.88's. Crawling is way harder on 3rds and axles than desert...at least in my experience and I have a few gnarfed R&P's hanging on the wall. I was nervous for the first 25,000 miles offroad or so. Now I just hammer down. If it grenades, I'll upgrade, but so far so good. (This speaks more towards the outstanding third setup from ECGS, it has more miles on it than the factory third!)

I'm curious about this as well. I've wheeled with a guy in a 09 and he gets away with a lot of abuse on his cv's. In fact he's never broken one. When I researched long travel it seems that you guys poping tundra CV's are extremely rare. I can't wheel without a spare CV for peace of mind but it would be great to never need it lol.
Now if someone can make cryro'd jack shafts....

It took me years to get my mid travel flexing like I wanted. I expect this will take a bit of tinkering too :) LT sure does smooth out a rough trail at speed though. Last night's testing was fun!
