    Howdy all,

I have an '06 Double Cab, and when I purchased the truck 4 years ago, the TPS light was on. It never really bothered me, as I regularly checked tire pressure.

This past weekend, I had the truck in the shop to get new shocks and struts, and the garage said they could fix that sensor. I figured why not, and gave them the go-ahead.

They replaced the sensor twice, and were able to verify with their computer that both sensors were giving PSI data and seemed to be working fine. When trying to hook it back up to my truck, the light refused to turn off. They checked the receiving end of things in my truck (sorry for lack of technical terms, I'm pretty much a newb when it comes to mechanics), and everything seems to be working on that end as well.

Any suggestions as to why the TPS won't turn off? It's a new sensor. The spare was also checked. I've run the truck 20 miles since getting it in, so the tires had a chance to warm up (that was something the guy said might happen). It was also reset according to the guys at the shop.

    Thanks in advance!

    Start the truck.
If the light contineously blinks then:
    Bad / not programmed sensor
    Bad receiver
    Bad TPMS computer
    -- Fix it.

If the light blinks once or twice and then stays solid:
Air pressure out of set limit.
-Inflate all 5 tires to recommended pressure
    -Press reset button
    -Light should go off

    Restart truck to check.

    Thanks for the response guys.

Spare was checked at the shop - the guy was vehement about that.

The light has never blinked. It just stays on consistently.

You might just want to check the spare yourself just to make sure. Not saying the guy at the shop didnt check it but I wouldnt just take his word for it.

I'll check both the reset and spare when I get home (garage guy said they'd reset the TPMS).
