Going to roll this convo about Jaimes dilemma to this thread since this is where he got bit by the rock bug...

After this weekend and some thought Ive decided to not throw anymore cash in my truck and keep it as is. It really did great, but it is my daily driver. I did love this crawling stuff but the stress of blowing up my DD was a lot. I think I will start to look into a project truck in the future and the ideal vehicle for me is an 85 4runner. This is the last year of solid axles and the first for efi. Like I said, this is a dream scenario. It will be very difficult to hunt one of these down and I would want my truck paid off first.

All these pics are seriously so awesome. I had the same thoughts ^^ after I tried some rocky trails for the first time - much less intense then box canyon, I was set on the locker etc

Then my thoughts shifted to something a lot more like this.

I'd go the Scout route. Its will be cheaper to build something fun.

Florence Junction. Its about an hour to an hour and a half outside of Phoenix to the Southeast. It leads to many other trails just like it.

yea but it is not street legal in cali.

 

I'd tow it to said wheeling places.....you cant get plates for a UTV in Cali

Utv's in Comi land are consider OHV vehicle require a sticker. I know in Az you can street legal pretty much anything.
