Looks like the new GMC Canyon for 2015 is going to be another GM chin-dragger.
Tough to tell for certain without having something next to it for scale, but it sure looks like there isn't much clearance up front.

Also, as an aside, I bought a plow truck last night.
'84 Dodge W150 Power Ram w/a slant six and an NP435 4 speed. :spy: I've already got 6 people lined up who want me to plow their driveways, haha.

Good looking plow truck. How does it run?

Nice! I used to drive one of those when I worked for a landscaper. The truck was an absolute tank! It had the 360 engine and had over 200k hard miles on it and still ran pretty well considering it's age and abuse it endured.

I don't really fit in those trucks. Maybe if it had a bigger cab, but not the single cab. I think Dodge designs their vehicles for short people.

Nice plow truck. Is it 4x4 or just 2wd?

Starts and runs great, actually. The Holley 2bbl was rebuilt this fall, and it seems like it's actually properly tuned too. Not burning super rich or too lean. Pumped the pedal twice and it fired right up. Amusingly, we were born on almost the same date. It was built in February of '84, and I was born in March of '84.

My family's always had good luck with this vintage Dodge. They've got one right now that I can attest from personal experience has not had an easy life. 318 engine still fires up and runs great, even after they let it sit for months at a time. My cousins have all had at least one truck of this vintage and they've all been amazingly stubborn to breakage. So I have high hopes for the longevity on this one. It's only got 77K original miles, and it lived most of its life on the Brunswick AFB. Body is crazy straight for a 30 year old truck, especially one with a plow.

That's not a problem for me, since I'm a short people.
And since it's an old-school fixed bench seat, if I was any shorter I'd need blocks on my feet to reach the pedals, à la Short Round in Temple of Doom.

    Thanks!
It's a 4x4, with ye olde impossible-to-reach-without-unbuckling-your-seatbelt shifter on the opposite side of the truck that Dodge insisted on for 30 years.

Yup. Some of my favorite movies from when I was a kid. I must've watched them 1000 times, but I still enjoy them.

I spent a lot of hours as a kid running around the back 40 with a six foot length of rope and a toy six-shooter battling the nazis.

    Meh. Not a fan.
Looks like the designers watched Transformers too many times when they were drawing the sucker up. It's got just enough lines and weird bumps to look like it's starting to transform.

While we're on the subject of American Iron (and Aluminum) I'm curious to see one of these in person:

IDK. I think it's a sharp looking truck. Then the whole thing (except the frame) is made out of Aluminum to save weight. The weight savings up's the towing rating and saves fuel. I think it's pretty cool.
