Taylor, care to order an extra breather? I'm going to do the rest of the job with Hardware store parts (Diff Nipple and Hose).

Why not use the stock breather then?

The threaded part is really short, so I read.

Well then because it's a one way valve...just going by what I was reading. That's what I'll do for the ride up there and if he gets it I'll swap it out. Going to lowes tonight, what barb fitting did you get?

same here... and I also jus put the hose directly onto the threaded half of the stock diff breather. There was enough thread after putting it through the gas fill area plastic to put the hose on and grip a little more than the width of the hose clamp I used, if that makes sense...

Yep, I'll do that temporarily but want to go with the 2 way valve to reduce vacuum and axle seal seepage.

I could be wrong but i figured that by adding in the hose/line that essentially provided for a pre-existing balancer for the vacuum problem. Figured that the air now trapped in that line would provide enough space for compression/decompression within the diff and axle, maybe not?

Yea, that's what I read in the thread but idk better safe than sorry. If there is no issue having it open, i didn't read of one, I'll just spend the $5.

I guess the only reason would be that uber rare chance that you got this extended breather submerged there would be the same problem as now that it COULD suck up water

and btw, saw your link to the dodge bed bolts, orderd em today from the dodge stealership for only $5! no shipping sense they're just comin to the stealership!

so a few of us would like to be in a group without kids. Not that we don't like them, but being that we have some good 'ol sailor mouths we feel it'd be better if we weren't around em as much so we don't have to think about it. ALSO, our trucks so far are are pretty equally capable and would like to keep our group with more similar trucks so we can all equally try obstacles. so far for this group, me, VAYoder, Taylor. anyone else wanna jump in?

Wheeling with most people on this list at one point or another I know we all have sailor mouths. With that being said it's never been a problem. Just a reminder with the people with cbs kids maybe within ear distance. This event is family friendly event. I don't see it being a problem if you want to be in a group with your friends. I know there are a few rigs that would like to stay together. The ones that plan to hit the rock garden comes to mind. We are fully locked, armor and all that shit.

Let's talk about it at shoe and let's all have a great time.

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
As an actual sailor I take offense to the phrase sailor's mouth. That being said everyone going is over the age of 18 that is in this thread. If they as individuals can't keep their traps shut around kids than tjat is to be taken up with the individual. Might be a good idea to keep the kiddos away if you plan on camping Friday night as the Jameson will be a flowing I imagine and folks might forget there are young ones around.
