What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

The Chrome is still under the Dip.

 

Got mine back from the shop after nearly three weeks on account of a minor "fender-bender". Was starting to get antsy!

And, I was surprised when I got home to find the (old) grill in the bed - just has a few small scratches on it. Probably gonna fab a Satoshi (sp?) grill with it.

 

I know what your talking about. I installed my 32" Xmitter and the silver hood had a lot of reflection. I used 3M Matte Black hood vinyl and there was still glare on the windshield. I finally used a Yakima wind fairing as a light visor under the bar. It may not look as pretty but it was totally worth it.

My initial thought is nay but they might work on the right truck, lifted and big tires like in the ad

 

Gonna' give a shot, Truck is Silver with alot of Black accents, and I'm lifted and 285/17's Dura Trac's..Think I will Roll with 'em for awhile, If i don't like 'em...Crank up the hairdryer..!

I think its pretty cool. I think it would look best with a matte black OEM bumper and tailgate though. I may even considering doing something like that with my truck eventually (once I am done spending money on other things). It would go well with my Matte Black hood vinyl.

The closer I look at it though I can see that it doesnt go all the way to the bottom of the bedside, inside the wheel well or all the way to the rail.

Edit: also think that the picture is of a DCSB and your truck is a AC LB.

 

I actually really like it.

Havin dealt with vinyl decals......the part that will be a bitch is the little piece between T & R at the top. and the black strip all by itself going down rear flare onto ass end.

When you wash it you would have to be careful it doesnt pull up. Not held on by much.

 

Well I'm going to be doing a vinyl wrap on the truck with matte finish, so that should reduce it a lot.

 

I got the kit in today, it comes in 3 pieces per side...looks like the hardest part is gonna be puzzling it together.....Beer will not be involved on install....

Got this switch from t_e , HIGHLY RECOMMNED, GREAT QUALITY< GREAT PRICE< GREAT SELLER. i used this switch to wire Amber LED;s to glove box and central cubby.

I totaly agree. Its not just the bottom either.

 

I think the decal was digitally applied to the truck on the Ebay pic..?!
