    If they hire the LB coach (and they will need one, since TG had that duty), that will leave no free spots for a ST coach. I noticed they didn't advertise for a DB coach - one would think that Pruitt will have those duties.

    With that said, I am still not sold on this guy. People are so excited that he will be a drastic improvement but they tend to forget that he was only a DC for one year - and inherited a D that was loaded with talent and also the coaches were still there. People who are expecting a top 5 - 10 D will probably be very disappointed...

    I said the same exact thing after seeing these same comments. I really liked the one about toning down the playbook and working on fundamentals. Keep it simple and let the talent in place make plays.

    A co worker of mine made a good point today about Grantham's schemes. We were talking about how complicated his playbook is. He pointed out that in the NFL players have all week to study the playbook as compared to college only having so much time to do the same. Never really thought about it like that. I just kept hearing how many different schemes Grantham had and the team had a hard time getting it all down.

    I saw that Pruitt said if we cant execute a play then we won't use it. So it sounds to me like Grantham was trying to force plays that the team wasn't comfortable with. Which could explain the confusion on the field we saw this past year.
