Even before that justification, it was used just as a silly joke.

But wasn the original meaning of zombies a thing of the undead with no working organs, thirst for human flesh, and no cognitive abilities other than that of the thirst?

Soooo your rationale is that the best way to transfer power to the ground is to just run bigger tires?

No, seriously. About 10 years ago people used it purely as a joke. It did evolve somewhat rapidly into a code word for mobs, black people, brown people, whatever, but at first it truly was just a joke to lightheartedly justify collecting guns.

Similar to how I say RACETRUCK to justify buying parts for my taco?

Down with phil on the pilgrim, their cajun chicken is pretty good, and personally I think they make a pretty good chicken curry too.

I tried the bangers n mash today, not too shabby.

    22 million, holy sht

Seriously, so much of this stuff is out there. Some of the gear is pretty cool, but for the purpose of zombie defense - meh

    http://uncrate.com/stuff/zero-kit/

Interesting... never really considered the evolution of the fad

It seems most of the kits they sell include a bunch of stuff that actually wouldd be beneficial to have, at the very least for situations like civil unrest, riots etc like you mentioned. I'd be interested to equip myself with more gear for that point, but wouldn't pay anything that was 'zombie focused' because of how much they would mark that up :)

I was wondering that yesterday, what the general thoughts were around having a big ol' light bar on the roof vs something in or around the bumper. I imagine it works better having it up there from what I saw from Jeep Andrew.

Why not both!? Im going 30" in the bumper and a 50" on the roof. More light > less light

Dude, if you're going to modify the roof of the cab... at least do Rigid or Vision-X

x2 on both, but if I'm correct OKled has a pretty good rep here on TW right and is a lot more affordable?

Personally I'd probably get rigid though :D

from what i have noticed the lights on my bumper put out better light than the ones on my roof.
ones on the roof will actually shine farther. but it wont light up the ground all the way to that far. but on the bumper, it lights up the ground all the way to the furthest point. so i think they are better on the bumper lower.
    IMO.

and to avoid glare on your hood, put your light bar far back enough that doesnt happen, or build a visor thing to block it from the hood.
my friends shine off the hood/windshield and i would hate to drive with it like that.

there are ways to avoid it.

my rack on my truck has the lights above the rear of the cab.
    like so-

or build a visor that goes under the lights to stop the glare from hitting the hood/windshield. i cant find a picture of one.

also keep in mind if mounting on the back of the cab, mount the lights up higher so you can aim properly without hitting light off your roof
