The GMC will still have the same problem it's always had - inboard mounted shocks on the rear. People that offroad just won't buy it, it's a show stopper.

A canyon? Haha! I don't care how cool it looks and what it has. I would not buy anything that wouldn't make it to 100k miles. In this case, 60k. lol

i'd be lying if i said i wasn't bias towards my taco but i had a chevy before (a blazer) and if the new canyon is as reliable as that blazer then... i'd have a aaa on speed dial because that thing will be giving you problems every couple months. before 100k, the blazer had a suspension problem, radiator leaked, funny noises, just headaches galore. so canyon might look good but it might end up being a giant paperweight while the taco is chugging along 200k miles later.

And this is what happens when you rush to get a vehicle on the market.. the design stage apparently didn't include the ass-end of the car

Probably because before the only mid sized pick ups that I saw were the Tacoma and Nissan frontier. And I see a lot more Tacoma's than the frontiers and Colorado's combined. So with now all this companies offering mid sized pickups the market will probably get bigger.

Ask everybody how many GM parts are on the new Tacoma,s and I think we will all be very very surprised .
Started with the recall for the computer in my 2005 matrix possibly causing a fire . Turns out the friggen ecm is a GM part .
Rear wheel bearings - Gm part
Front wheel bearings - GM part
That was back in 2005 . I was pissd thinking i actually purchased a toyota ,so i did some research and found there are more domestic parts on a Toyota than there are on a GM , Ford and Dodge combined .
I agree that the quality of Toyota has gone for a crap

Not talking about the diesel it is a 2.5l i4 gas with direct fuel injection, which Toyota needs to do on there 2.7.

Sounds like you should have bought something from the big three.
