    Because it's designed for the Hilux it was a PITA to make fit under the fender. I couldn't imagine the heart ache if you had glass flares. Good luck!

    CB mostly installed today. I'll get pics up this week. I also accomplished an additional mod while I had the center counsel out. I'll leave that one as a surprise for when I post the pics.

    Thanks. I'm on a mission to get the rig squared away prior to heading to Moab in May. I'm still a ways away from being complete and it won't be totally done prior due to money constraints. I have a short list of 'must haves' though, skid plates etc.

    After a weekend camping/wheelin trip to TORR I'm even more focused on getting the tacoma ready for more rocks. So...

    I had my exhaust re-routed today, along with a chop and Flowmaster added. Dumps about a foot and a half in front of the axel. Ready for skid plates now.

    Rattle can times a million. My sliders get really chipped just normal driving, it's super easy to touch up with some flat black.

    Yea, the consensus is to rattle can. So that's what I'm gonna do. The sliders should be here tomorrow.

    Spent the day looking for a local shop to weld them on AND add another brace to the frame near the rear of the sliders to prevent them bending. Think I found the place.

    Well it's been awhile since I have posted some mods. I haven't dropped the pace with the improvements to the rig. I finished installing my Cobra CB in my center counsel. While I had the counsel out I figured I would come up with a better way to keep my Glock 23 secure. I ALWAYS keep one in the pipe so inevitably it's gotta be in a holster. Since I wanted to be able to draw with only one hand I figured I would side mount it.

    Here is what I came up with.

    In order to retain a gap so I could easily get my hand around the grip, I offset it with a piece of wood. A simple yet affective solution. Another thing I had to do was shave off the lip of the counsel. When trying to quick-draw the pistol my nails hit the inside of the lip and about ripped off. That was a no-go item and had to be fixed!

    Also you can see my CB mount. I ran all the wires under the counsel and then through the driver side grommet to the antenna, which is mounted on the bed rack. I also added a lighted switch because I didn't want to forget the CB on and kill my battery. I often park it at work for days at a time...

    Since I added the rear high clearance bumper, I haven't had a place to mount my license plate. So I ordered some LED lights and welded a bracket right to the bed rack. The LED lights added a nice touch to the overall look.
