Apparently Toyota can't fucking figure out how to secure cv boots on my truck. Unless those fucking retards unfuck themselves and actually fix the problem, I'm out.

I just don't understand what's soo fucking hard about tightening a fucking clamp on a fucking god damn mother fucking cv fucking boot? I wanna fucking stab a mother fucker right now...anyone will do

 

Are you willing to tighten them yourself? Or will they need new bands?

Well for the 2nd time now, they will need to be repacked with grease and new band clamps.

Uppers or lowers? If they can't figure that shit out then toss a couple 3.5" hoseclamps on and be done with it. We did that on mikes truck and it held like a champ.

 

It's the outer boots. The inner boots have held great, the clamps keep popping off the outer boots. Andrew I'd do that but I paid those fuckers a lot of $ to do the work & they're going to do it right or I'll keep taking my truck back until they get tired of seeing me and fucking fix it right.



Fluffy it was taken to the stealership and it is under an extended warranty but the cv boot replacement was not covered because they consider it a wearable item. So I paid for the boot kits and labor out of my own pocket.

 

What clamps are you guys using? The one's from Toyota?

I have 2 Replacement CV boot kit's in the works here for you guys. One kit for 96-04 and the other for the 05+.

These will be direct replacement inner and out. And much better than the hard OEM one and no adapting a Bates 930. I have boots sourced and I am working on what clamps to include with the kit. Price point is gonna be around the same as OEM kit's from Toyota.

Clamp options right now include normal band style, then possible hose clap style as you would find on buggy or race vehicles, and then another style. I just don't know if the bolt head on the hose clap style will clear everything yet.

Hopefully should have everything in a week or two.
