I just had to share this with you guys and see if it's true. I had to go up to the hardware store today and while I was there I ran into a buddy of mine. We both have 2011 Tacomas, the only difference is his has 4x4. Well, we got to talking about lifts and tires and I made the statement that I didn't want to to go to big due to low fuel mileage. He asked what I was getting and I told him barely 18 miles average. He stated that even with 32" tires he is getting 22 miles. I called BS and then he asked me if I had pulled the chip from under the dash. He said that he pulled some chip from under the dash and has increased his fuel mileage. Now, I ain't that mechanically incline but this sounds like to much BS to me. So the question is, has anyone else heard of this? Is there a chip we can pull out and have better gas mileage? Shine some light on this for me guys.

Why would Toyota lower a truck's mileage with a chip (or with anything)? I wish it was that easy... !

As soon as I get the time, I plan on it. When he does, I will take a pic and post it so y'all can give me some feed back on it. I feel the same as y'all do. It's one of those to good to be true things. Heck, if it does work though, I'll be takin' mine out to.
