Calling all Virginians (Tidewater area)

Oh... duh. I guess that was someone else's truck Im remembering you guys were working on...

For the turbo install I need to drop the front axel so I want to do this at my place, however I need some welding and cutting done so probably have to do it somewhere else. Just wondering how long it takes to drop and replace the front axle.

 

barry did his by himself in not time for the install. i think the 1st gen is easier than a second gen. and we did pull turd herding jim's and reinstall his for a regear. mine wasnt a regear, just a front locker

 

Installing CB tonight. Definite no go for shoe creek Saturday.

 

Gotcha. Did it take all day to get the front axle on/off? I wouldnt think so but the CXRacing tech said it took them 8 hours .

 

no, THJ's didnt take that long at all. mine did just cuz we didnt know wtf we were doing. plus his had more room with 4banger. 1st gen has more room to get up under there than the 2nd gen so you shouldnt have any problem. longest part is getting the cv axles out

 

I just installed the Engo E10000 on my truck with syn. line. I think it was about $500 W/syn Line. Have not wired it up yet but I chose that winch because of a articale I read in peterson's 4 wheel and off road about a year ago, I think it was that magazine. They tested a bunch of winches and that one did really well. You can't beat the Engo for the price.

On a differant note,I installed Piaa 510's in my front bumper fog light holes. I am pretty sure that the stock fogs were brighter. Does anyone else have the Piaa 510's and think they are crap.

 

You doing any work at burry's in the next few weekends? I want to get this on before Feb and may need some help.

 

This weekend, plan on putting my shackle flip and add a leaf and new shocks in.

 

After that it will be a while since I have my eye surgery next thurs

 

Hmm... I might role up Saturday if its ok with Burry. At least get the fuel pump in and get some brackets modded for the IC... Not ready for the full install just yet.

Girlfriend got denied 20 credit hours so the tuition money I paid is getting refunded. If it by some freak chance happens before Saturday, we'll be at Shoe Creek.

 

I have the Piaa 510's and I hate them, they are not brite at all. I am going to relpace them with Rigid Dually lights.

 

Not certain if that is good or bad news?

Bad news, she's a fucking wreck and my night is going to consist of comforting a crying woman.

Tried to tell her the head of the department wasn't going to let her do it, but she somehow got him to give her the registration override while he was busy one day, but today realized what she had done and booted her from the course. It is only offered spring and fall so now she'll graduate 7 months later than she planned.
