Hunter is this a wraith? I only ask because I just ordered one and want to put my old honcho body on it.

hunter, I'm really liking the tie rod setup on yours. thinking about building some links to run the same setup on at least the big crawler, if not all of them. does the toe change much when you turn?

Some goodies showed up for my birthday yesterday. Still need to work on the body, haven't bothered because of weather.

I did the front shackle reversal, and moved the front axle forward a bit. I think my next upgrade might be the rear 4 link/front 3 link kits for more flex.

oh, so yours came like that, and you just upgraded it.

I'm trying to eliminate this rock anchor of a tie rod that spans between the two knuckles, for better approach/clearance.

I'd probably flip the servo to get the horn right in the center of the axle, yielding two equal length tie rods.

I'm sure they don't make it for that crawler, but it's not hard to make a set of links the proper length. the knuckle arms on this one are really long, which is great because the servo gets so much leverage, but bad because the tie rod sticks out so far (hence not needing to bend around the diff). running like yours would keep the mechanical advantage of the long knuckles, and eliminate my approach clearance too. would help me two-fold as well, as my rear steering setup is identical to the front.

Hey Colin have you looked into behind the axle steering, not sure if it could work on yours but the xr10 has that option and it's a moa also

looked into it when I first set this one up with rear steer. it runs dual motors, one per axle, instead of drive shafts. great for power and a low center of gravity, but kinda screws you out of the ability to flip everything behind the axle.

you can see the motor and gear reduction housing all tucked behind the servo, between the outer links.

Sure xr10 is a motor on axle also (moa)
    Take a look at this

my motor sits lower than that., meaning I'd probably be dragging the tierod on the ground a lot. if I go that rout, it's have to be above the motor, with some pretty severe bends in it.

for the effort, I think dual tie rods, like hunter's axial is my best bet. both tie rods are still above the centerline of the axle, and would sit in closer to the axle than before as well.
