    ohhh, I like this.

So you actually keep the running light bulb in as well right?

And so the blinker is relocated up top but still, only functions as a blinker correct???

Shit, i dont have a bumper yet but I wanna do this ASAP now!! lol

Any suggestions on what I should do with the original blinker housings? so water doesnt get in them. (since I will still need to run them cuz I dont have an aftermarket bumper)

I used duct tape at first but water got in the driver side one. So I used formed a metal washer to the curve of the housing, secured a bolt, nut, and rubber washer to seal the hole in the washer and epoxied it to the housing. And clamped it for an hour.

    Probably overkill...

Peeps do but might not have to. The blinker bulb is dual filament and the socket is a 3 lead. I'm waiting on some parts to do some testing to be certain but I'm pretty sure there is a way just to re-use the blinker bulb as both a blinker and parking.

I just wired a GM dual filament socket in my 00, One is a ground, One is "Bright" and the other is "Dim". I have my turns wired to the Bright and the parking lights wired for the Dim

    yup, this.

I'm looking at doing it with the stock blinker bulb. My only major concern with the stock blinekr bulb is I have enough air space around the bulb so the plastic of the lense doesn't melt or singe.

No, you move the blinker bulb from the blinker housing to the corner housing. It's more a less a mod for when you get an offroad bumper.

Haha as long as it works! Being in an apartment is not excuse though, I live in a dorm on the third floor and I've painted, taken apart my headlights with a heat gun, and did the blinker mod on the floor! :p

Haha yup, that's what those lights at the bottom are for ;)

This mod is great for 01-04 Tacomas that are getting an aftermarket bumper or want to get rid of the lower valence.

You just have to line it up and find out where it fits best for you. Here worked well for me though.

ok so i was planning to do this today, but i couldn't seem to figure out how to get the damn corner light housing off the truck. I took off the little screw under the hood on top of the headlight and tried to wiggle the housing out, but in the process ended up breaking off the little plastic bracket. Now i'm nervous I dont wanna break anything else and have to drive around without a blinker for a week. haha maybe I'm missing something? it's just the one screw that holds the housing in right?

Yes, just the screw. Grab the edge of the trim on the corner light that's against the fender and grab the edge next to the headlight and just pull straight out.
