    Since you guys are talking lifts, would billies set at 0 with 884x be a better ride than stock and give around 2 inches of lift? Not looking for much more than 2" up front AAL 1.5" in back. Or... Would billies at 1.75 w stock coils be an upgrade in ride as well. I keep reading set at 2.5 is a rough ride.

    From what I've read. 1.75 is about a stock ride. The billies with 884s set at 0" should give you around 2".

    Thats cool with me. I just don't know how to separate them. also I have the 1/4" top plate spacer for the drivers side if one of you would like it.

    Aight just some food for thought. Towards Adam too ......... Any lift using stock length components will give you a less quality ride. Lets just say you have 6" of suspension travel in the front, 3" up and 3" down. When you hit a bump your shock has 3" each way to soak up that bump. When you lift it 3", now you are riding around in the very top of your shock stroke and you only have 1" of down travel and 5" of up travel (these are just made up numbers, I don't know this exactly) so when you hit that same bump it will be fine on the way down but when the truck comes up it's gonna bottom out the shock making for a rough ride. Of course this info varies with different shocks and valving but for a stock like setup, this is the truth.

    I have bills with 885s. You should not change the bill height at all. Also that setup rides smoother than gids ass cheeks.

    The coils themselves provide life. Not because they are longer but because they are stiffer. If I'm not mistaken, the 5100s are what sets the lift. So stock springs with adjustable 5100s set at no lift, good. Stock shocks with springs that provide 2" of lift, not good. That equals blown shocks

    Yeah, I wasn't meaning stock shocks w 884s, but 5100s set at 0. I just know that another way to do it would be 5100s at 1.75 w stock coils. I was just not sure that would be a good/ better ride.

    Probably not going to happen soon anyway, just thinking. I have a few other things that I want to purchase first. Thanks for the info.

    No! You want these springs. Levi doesn't. They aren't heavy enough for his truck. This whole assembly is actually perfect for you unless you do spindles

    Yes sir. And using the stock springs with better shocks will never ride better then new springs as well. Stock springs just aren't the best components

    I can sell the spindles and get all of my money back. I can't run this setup without doing UCAs right? And everything I read said you can't turn the 5100's up without damaging other components. I want more than 3". Unless my truck is broken which I don't think it is. The 3" I have now looks weak.
