White with orange wheels? I remember there was one that I'd see in winter storms when I worked in Cambridge.

Nope, this one is either a really dark gray or black and I believe black wheels (haven't seen it since the salt hit the roads).

Ah, okay. I had a friend who managed to test drive one once and he said it was like driving an incredibly fast couch. I wouldn't mind getting some seat time in one though. I'd be curious to see how it handles its heft.

I am going with davez when my tax return comes in.

I have some 3/8th plate I could use however I like the idea of the TG double member. It will cost a bit but will save me like 15 hours of work on a project that's going to be time consuming from the get go.

Well, after months of ripping on Chris for his little 5-lugger, I have decided to pull the trigger on a barcelona red 4x2 5 speed 4banger come summer time as a DD! Gonna be fun!

(yes, the LT link may or may not be related to the purchase of a 4x2... :D )

You crazy mang. If it is a DD you should probably keep the modding at bay, or else it is kinda pointless...to buy it for a DD at least. Not pointless to buy a tacoma, cuz that would be a good move.

My dad drove a datsun 280z in college. I have always wanted to by one and suprise him with it as a project car. There is one for sale around here, MINT condition with i think less than 30,000 miles, always garaged but the owner is asking like 16k

Yeah I'm pumped for the taco! Then I'll finally belong here! Haha

I won't be modding that until it's paid off. It'll stay bone stock until that point!

I'm actually surprised the 4 banger has 159 hp! My 4.0 has only 230-ish. So for a much lighter truck it should be fun!

It's the wrong color red.... :puke: might get black and paint it another color

And again, I don't own a ducking couch.

Just got back from picking up the plow truck. It actually drives pretty smooth for an old rig. Except on my road, but nothing rides smooth on my road. They've repaved it three times, and they don't strip the old pavement up when they repave; they just pave over the old broken shit. And then a year later the new pavement starts breaking up, and you get three different levels of potholes.
Now I just need some snow!

    Lol.
    Buys DD.
    Mods it....

    Heh....Flinstones Mod.
I had to weld a new floorpan into my '87. I hadn't been welding for long at that point, and I was using a 220 stick welder on some narrow gauge sheetmetal. It was ugly...
Functional, but ugly. I undercoated the hell out of it so you couldn't tell, but still...Yikes.

What's real funny is that my 84 Camaro bone stock 5.0 8 cylinder was about 160hp. Now, mine was a little more than stock (ho ho ho) but just shows you how far things have come.

Oddly, the one thing I'd have changed about mine is I like the color black..fits my personality.

And again, go buy a couch and then fuck it..haha
