a TSB is not a recall , so just like any other TSB , they don't cover the work outside of the warranty period

Seems like with that mileage... That's just standard maintenance. I have 93k of every day redlining and off road abuse and no issue...

Anyone aware of a possible recall/TSB involving underbody treatment/corrosion preventative? I got a CERTIFIED letter from the dealer where I bought my Taco stating that I had purchased the treatment and still need to have it done(and if it's not completed by a certain date, my warranty will be void)...? I know for a fact that I did not purchase any additional undercoating/protection package, so I am slightly confused. Just wondering if anyone else has seen/heard of this.

Kind of what I was thinking. I'm just confused as to why they spent the $15 to send a certified letter. The letter is typed, then hand-signed by the "Incentive Specialist". It also states that there will be no cost to me, since it is a "WE OWE RUST PACKAGE" (that's literally bolded and all caps on the letter). Not sure if I got a free treatment, or a pre-screened waste of time...

This tsb explain a lot of vibrations and fixes the dreaded bump at stop signs.

    Enjoy.

Are these issues on the 2014 models? If so, why aren't they fixed (TSB issues addressed) before selling them if they're already aware of it.

If there's one of particular interest to you open it up, they have dates and VIN ranges that they apply to.

I wouldn't know what to look for. I am picking up my 2014 on Saturday, and my only concern is if the frame rust issue has been addressed.

Lol. Salt? I live in Newfoundland on the extreme east coast of North America. We average over 120 inches of snow annually, and use tons and tons and tons of salt. It's awful. Vehicles here have just rotted with salt.

I had the Krown rust-proofing done yesterday, so I'm good on that front. However, I do have a question about Fluid Film. I am considering getting under the vehicle and trying to spray every nook and cranny that the Krown Proofing might have missed. Will Fluid Film on top of Krown have any dire effect? I am guessing not.

2011 with a rusted frame? Wow. That ain't good. Have you had that 2011 frame treated? How about the 4Runner. Had a 4runner about 15 years ago. couldn't keep gas in it! Hope the Tacoma is better!

And that sir is exactly where I am at the moment. I pick up my truck on Saturday. I assumed they "had their act together". Decided to have a look around Tacoma World and find this. Not encouraging at all.
