I know!!! I love my Dirt Logics.

CORRECT me if I'm wrong but I thought someone said with a new spring pack = more travel/flex and these are too short

The shocks that come with your DB kit are designed to accommodate the travel of your stock leaf pack with a block = stock travel just sitting a bit higher. I don't know the exact travel in inches of the stock leaves but just as an example if it is 6" your new 6" lifted leaf pack will give you 12" of travel easily it is that much of a difference therefore you need a new shock that will compress and extend the same distances as your new shocks. When I put my first 6" leaf pack on I jacked the truck by the rear bumper and the droop travel stopped very quick because the 6" kit shocks only had about 2" of droop stroke left. I unbolted the shock from the axle and continued to jack the truck up like another foot ! my high lift jack was teetering so I called it good enough. Basically it's just that a 6" leaf pack has so much more travel than your shocks and you can't bottom out and top out your shocks or you will smash, pop or bend a rod. Hope that helps clarify it a bit ?

P.S. don't buy your shocks until you get your leaves and fully droop and compress them and take your own measurements... Everyone's truck it a bit different and every leaf pack is a bit different.

Wonder if my rear Dirt Logics will fit up front if I remove the spacers.

I believe compressed my rear dirts are 25" or 26" long?

    Yep...this^^^

Guess it's Bilstein time. Maybe I'll get a 4 pack from DownSouth Motorsports.

I can get Billys for the front to eliminate the spacers up there correct?

I've still got my Dirt Logics on the rear of my truck, with 6" Alcans. Yeah It's limiting my travel but so is my bed side. When these shit the bed I'll get a custom set of Kings or Icon's.

EDIT: 11k Miles on my Alcans now with the Dirt logics with 30k total.

Also contemplating a shackle flip whenever that happens :goingcrazy: Then my rear is going to outperform the front by a long shot articulation wise.

This thread is one of the many reasons I'm getting a 6" lift! Put the order in, pro comp stage 1 accompanied by king remote reservoir coil overs and king shocks in the rear. Also puttin on some 18" pro comps and 35" nitto trail grapplers, beyond stoked! Hopefully I can resave up so I can ditch the blocks soon but that's on hold, everything on this this thread has been super helpful.

Since you live in the desert like me, I would lose the nittos and go with either toyo. Those nittos chunk on rocks with hotter temps. I've had the Toyo MT & now the ATII and I'm never going back.
Looking back on my project I wouldve done some things different like started with just the UCAs, LCAs & Leaf pack and then taken my measurement for the coils and shocks. I know I could squeeze some more travel out of this DB.

Oh yea damn I didn't even think about that, I've heard of that happening to nittos in hot climates from other people too, I'll have to call in and change them to toyo mt's. They are cheaper too! That always helps. Thanks for the suggestion. That actually sounds pretty smart... UCAs and leaf pack are up next on my list, I might have to put some more thought in prioritizing them.
