Thought you were trying to get out of debt. How is buying another vehicle helping that? And what are you going to do with a LT suspension around here?

Nope. Just want a stock truck for now.

Yeah I am but will end soon and I'll have a LOT freed up! Gonna build my credit and get a DD.

My 1985 Dodge Rape Van Custom 250 has the 7.2L V8. And it puts out 180-ish according to Wikipedia.

Yeah almost out of debt and my dad is gonna help me with this one possibly (at least cosign it) but I have everything sorted out, just gotta let time do what it does. Bring in my weekly cash so I can pay off stuff according to the plan.

And I don't plan on staying here unless I buy my cottage. If I don't get the cottage I'm going southwest.

Had a fucking blowout in the outside lane on 93. I had to drive on it to get to the end of the hov lane to get out of traffic to change it.

Damn, that looks like just all kinds of ouch. Sounds like at least no major crash / catastrophe. Hit something, high mileage on the tire, or just lucky this morning? Curious of details...

Just lucky. I heard flap flap flap and then it was down and I was fishtailing.
The wheel looks like it didn't get damage but it was dark and I just gave it a quick look. I will swap the spare over to the regular wheel and try to find a used spare to put back to buy some research and decision time

Yup I agree. The large wrecker wasn't at the end yet so he pulled in behind me and helped. He says "how you doin" and expected to hear some whining and complaining but it is what it is and like you said no accident, so its all good

It's amazing what a little positivity can do to a seemingly shit situation

    Oof. Rugged Fail.

I used to work with a guy that bought an '83 Corvette. He was all excited about that 350, wouldn't shut up about what a powerful car it was, how fast it accelerated, blah blah blah.
We pointed out that a new Camry V6 makes more HP and has a faster 0-60 time. He just about shit himself when he realized that his mother's grocery getter was a faster car:D

The Rape Van 440 may have had 180HP when it was new. I'd be willing to bet that more than one of those ponies has jumped the fence and run off into the sunset over the last 30 years.

I had a similar blow out with one of my old 33 skinny BFGs. Except I had left my hilift at home and didn't have anyway to lift it. There may or may not be a guardrail on the midcape highway after exit 2 with some paint scuffed off.

Alex why not get an older car as a DD? Pay cash for it when you can instead of getting more payments/debt

Silence thy prattle, knave! Logic has no place in Alex's attempt to save money.
