was wondering everyone heres input, right now im running bilstein 5100s in the rear, but theres a set of 7100s on here for sale, will these shocks be much smoother offroad? or will i not notice as big of an improvement? im thinking for fireroads and dirt trails. by the way they are 10 inch shocks of a 1st gen tacoma, would that be okay for a stock rear? i know that 8 inch is stock, but was wondering if it would still work?

Got my truck back from Adam last night and oh boy is she pretty. He even gave her a little detail cleaning. Hit a little jump in Montecito and the front bypasses felt pretty spot on. Hooked up the race radio too. I'm really happy with how everything came out. Superstition this weekend then possiblyvas soon as the weekend after going back in for the spare/bumper/toolbox and getting the leaf pack redone by deaver.

Yea, I think I'm just going to suck it up, and pick up the next set of coilovers, fox or king avaliable and go from there, no point in getting the wrong size shocks

Ok Jake is fine and the truck is on all 4. Took a flat bed ride home to be safe. Tuesday he was doing a prep on his truck for this weekend and noticed that the nut on the Lca was significantly loose so he tightened it only 2 days ago after a quick pop down to Ventura and back driving from his gfs house home this morning getting on the freeway at about 80 felt slight vibration was pulling off to the side of the road the it broke free. Skidded on the Lca for about 200ft till he got it to stop. I got there along with his dad and a couple jacks and some hammers got everything back in place. Lost the misalignment spacer and the elbow for the coilover got bent making it leak oil oh and a chunk out of his fender is all the damage we have found so far. Going to order parts and get to work on it next week when they come in. Thankfully this happened in town instead of 6 hours away and possibly in the desert
