I don't know the outcome of this yet. I'm sure they are going over the return I sent to them with a fine tooth comb. I just hope the preparer didn't make any mistakes.
The IRS can cause problems, even when they are dead wrong. I found that out the hard way while dealing with them on HCTC. ( Health Care Tax Credit)

Glad the asshole got caught Cap. Feel sorry for the kids though, what kind of life are they going to have? Hope they get put in a good foster home so they at least have a chance at a normal life.

Good Luck Carl...they hounded me for 3 years on my returns over one lousy mistake on not claiming a $318.00 IRA that was not claimed by mistake. It cost me over $800.00 in taxes due to the amount put me into the next income bracket. They wanted more money, but I got a good accountant and he got the amount down. It seems the middle class pays for the rich and pays for the poor but we keep on going. We need a flat tax program.

Good morning Ken. Getting ready to take my son to school, doing a load of laundry, and having breakfast while I am cruzing TW.

Morning Tom, going to breakfast with a neighbor. His wife was diagnosed with lung cancer and is going through chemo now and he needs to get out and talk. Then I need to change the bulbs in the office fan light (ceiling is 11 foot). Have a good one Tom.

    Morning.

Charlie, Glad they cleaned up the mess on your road and you can relax a little. Sorry for the kids, they always get the short end of it in these things. Some folks should never have kids. :(

Tom, Did they test the bridges yesterday?

Ken, Good on you for being a friend to the neighbor. for his wife.

Thanks Rob, that is one of the down sides to living in the community that I live in. You meet people, make friends and then health issues arise. At 65 I am still considered one of the youngsters here[IMG]...pretty scary huh

We can only hope so ... something good might come of it.

IMHO the lack of respect for elders and law is a huge problem with our society these days. Makes me worry for my kids and grand kids. :(

    Rob:
The bridge held 400 grams before one arm of a truss broke. There were some bridges that held 2000 grams and some that did not break.

You have to keep in mind that the design my son selected was not built after the 1880's due to lighter, stronger and cheaper materials that were developed.

Sounds like a fun and educational exercise to me. If they used different designs then gave the kids an actual perspective of the strengths and/or weaknesses of different designs. Win - Win ;)

I am doing a road trip to Southampton, PA on Saturday to pick up a grill for my Tacoma. Hope the weather holds up for me.

I saw that as well Charlie. I usually have no problems in the snow with my 2WD Tacoma.

Blizzard going on in NW Minnesota so I think I will take the day off. Do a little snow removal after the wind goes down a little.

Good morning folks. Regarding income tax returns and other such fun activities, you can all take heart if the U.S. is anything like Canada. Our income tax was brought in during the First World War on a temporary basis to pay for the war effort. Being that it's only temporary, I suspect they will abolish it in the near future.

Hi Tom, coming up[ to my neck of the woods on Saturday. I'm 10 minutes from Southampton. If you want, PM me and we can meet for lunch. Getting your grill from Homertaco?

Welcome to the thread. Enjoy the BS and don't be afraid to jump in.

Philadelphia's city wage tax was only a temporary tax too. But now it is double State tax plus they have added 2% to the sales tax[IMG] and the mayor is wondering why companies and people are leaving the city for the suburbs[IMG]
