    Meh, works well enough for what it is. I've used it quite a few times during tire rotations.

    Trust me I know about buying stuff I "need". However I have also learned to take a step back and weigh all aspects of such a decision. You always are complaining about money, have you taken into consideration increased insurance, excise taxes, etc... While you may save on gas the other ancillary costs may make it a wash or not worth it all together. If you're stuck on a 2wd taco look for a decent 1st gen or pre taco you can pay cash for.

    Same, I used it for rotations before lifting cause my for jack doesn't go high enough to lift the front.

    One day young man, LOGIC will Slap you :smack:and that "light":angrygirl:shall show you the way...

    That is experience talking , we just condensed our move enough that the Tacoma will "work its way" to Florida...all of this heavy a$$ Yankee wood furniture is now being $OLD..;)..Now a small trailer will be towed down by the Tacoma; $avings of over $1700 in my pocket...:cool:

    Just my 2 cents on your DD idea; Weigh out EXACTLY what you will do with this DD; Trips to NH or Cape with the better 1/2, night out with her and WILL YOU REALLY BEHAVE when "right foot'n" a 2wd p/u ???
    A coupe might only have 2 doors BUT it doubles you interior room over a single cab and better MPG's ( even if you :burnrubber: ) and a 4 door might cramp style ( WTFC) but can be purchased with BUDGET in mind ;

    I think that is the IDEA behind all of this ????

    I have a 2002 5spd civic I replaced the tranny in. Roof leaks it has no balls but 40mpg rocks. And I don't give a shit about it bc it has no resale value really. so no worries if it gets a dent. Its reliable BC its a honda.

    That's the way I would go who needs two trucks.

    Gee, I can't imagine why your roof leaks...

    Some of us have two trucks...:eek:
    I have my nice Tacoma that I use as my DD, and I've now got that '84 Dodge that I'll be using as a plow rig/beater truck. Something I can toss rocks into the bed without flinching in pain.

    If the wheel isn't damaged and you end up going to the Charlie Horse and like my wheels now might be a great time to trade?

    Billy I'm glad you're ok! That blowout looks bad! Rim looks ok from the photo though.

    Nolie, GFY. I can boodjeet when I want moar truck parts! That's what matters anyway, right?

    Snope, very insightful as always. I might get a coupe. Been thinking about a manual Camry but I would rather RWD than FWD. I don't need room in the cab really because it'll be just a DD/hauler. My truck is already paid off. Might buy a used first gen 2wd. The only reason I'm leaning towards new is the fact that first gens are still going for $12,000-13,000! Why not get a new one with just as much resale value for a few thousand more? I know it sounds stupid but I want a manual, I want a DD, and I want a truck. They're safe as shit. I don't trust unibody.

    We shall see what life looks like in a few months

    I am headed to my buddies shop tonight to swap over my spare and look through his take off pile to put back on as a spare. I did consider that option but with my luck I would get another flat and be screwed with no spare available. What is the backspacing on your wheels?
