Your trucks (& many others here) are beautiful! I'm almost there with the money & when I get there I will order from Headstrong. I have a friend who may go this route also so maybe we'll both get a good deal.

    Well, here's my set-up:
    2008 Silver DCSB 4.0 Prerunner
    FRONT: Billy 5100'S @ "0" with 885X coils & 1/4" Taco lean spacer.
REAR::: Billy BE5-B110-T5 (for 4" lifts), Wheelers 3 leaf AAL, OEM 3/1 leafs, 3 degree axle shim, 1" block.
    TIRES:: 275/70r17 BFG A/T's
TOTAL HEIGHT from ground to fender base:
    F:38" R:40"

2 month old upper & lower ball joints (MOOG) so I definitely want to keep my UCA's & LCA's.

Since I still have my original PreRunner springs I want to re-install those with the 5100's @ .85 & the MaxTracs because I still want some rake. It's obvious that my ride will improve by having the original springs & barely preloading them.

Anyone running this with a similiar rear set-up?

Any issues with noises after installing the MaxTracs?

Any issues with the tie rods since they have to be installed from the top down instead of the bottom up like OEM?

Is the hole in the spindle tapered for the tie rods the way the OEM hole is tapered?

    Thank you for your time
    :)

    Hello,

For those of you that are running the stock LCA's can you post up some pics of how the Maxtracs look bolted up to them? I've seen pics of how they bolt up to the stock UCA's but not the stock LCA's. If the pic is in this thread & I missed it then I apologize but this thread is pretty long & my time somewhat limited.

I'm looking for the part where the lower ball joint bolts up to.

    Thanks!

Bandit. You took EXACTLY the pics that I wanted to see! Get out of my head! LOL! :D

Seriously though, I wanted to see how it bolts up to the LCA. It looks easier than I first thought. Thank you also for the side profile pic.

BTW, did you have to shave down the spindle weld in order to accomodate the calipers. I read on this thread that someone had to do that. If so, was it a PITA or no big deal?

    Good to know that. Thanks

Very nice of Yotamatt to do that
Great idea on the clear coat. I will cover up the threaded holes & hub mounting surface & rattle can some clear on them.
I was thinking of painting them but clearcoating sounds better.
Lucky for me I am running the same FJ wheels that you are so no worries there.
    Thanks

    :confused:Help !!! I currently rockin a major bro lean (billys 1.75 eibachs 1.6 & 4 inch spindles)
I would definitely like to level out the rear but still nose high in the front, the front being at least 1 inch higher then rear. Im just a little low on cash so can I temporarily run a block to the rear (2 or 3 inch) for no longer than two months. Ive heard bad things about block lights but it will just be temporary. Eventually ill go with 3 inch leaf pack from all pro and extended shocks. Thanks for the help in advance:rolleyes::D

Si if I do run a 2 inch block would that be enough lift for the rear to not mess up my xaster oe anything else for thw temporary time I have the block lift on my truck or should I level it out more. I just want to play it safe for now and not mess anything with temporary block being that im so high up front...

Those spacers make a noticeable difference.

Where in the Smoky Mountains was that beautiful pic #3 taken? I love it up there. I take I-95 north then I-26 north west through South Carolina when I go (if my destination is Banner Elk, NC). If I'm going to Pigeon Forge then I go I-75 north then I-85 north east through Georgia

    Hello Bandit,
I just finished installing a 2" Tapered block to replace the 1" block & I have take-off shudder but it's only on take-off. I also removed the 3 degree shim since the blocks are angled.

    Basically:
    3/1 OEM leafs,
    3 Leaf AAL,
    2" tapered block.

It's had take of shudder for almost 2 years. Should I worry about that?

Wow Bandit! That driveshaft is WAY out there! I'll be home by 1:30 pm today & I'll post a pic of mine but it's no where near that far out. I also have the ToyTec CB spacer. I can install that & see.

Truck height from ground to bottom of fender with my new BFG AT's 275/70r17 is 38" front & 41" rear now that I have the 2" rear block.

    I'll remove my 885x springs,
    Reinstall the OEM PreRunner springs,
    MaxTracs (3.5"),
    5100's @ .85 or @ "0" with Wheelers 3/4" spacer.

I hope to get 39 to 40"'s of lift up front. I do want some rake.
